Hello,

We have been working with RAP since 1.3 and it worked on Google Chrome. Recently we updated our version to RAP 1.4 M4 and interestingly it opens the initial home page with the viewer when invoked. Also you can open editor only once. Later if you try to invoke action command event, the browser becomes unresponsive.

We copied the URL to both IExplorer and Firefox and they're just working as expected and even th internal Browser provided with RAP framework work fine.

Its only Google Chrome which is the unresponsive. Kindly let us know what to be done to fix this.
Is this a bug in RAP 1.4 M4 ?

Thanks and Regards,
Sudesh

Hi Sudesh,

after the release of 1.4M4 we fixed this bug related to Google Chrome:
Background-image with rounded borders kills session in Chrome
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=301236
From your description I understand that your problem is not related to
symptoms above. Could you provide some snippet to reproduce it? Which
version of Chrome are you using?

Best,
Ivan

hello ivan,

we are using google ver - 8.0.552.237.
I even did the clean installation of RAP on another box using

eclipse : eclipse-reporting-helios-SR1\eclipse
RAP : Rich Ajax Platform (RAP) Tooling 1.4.0.20101214-0934

both eclipse and RAP were downloaded on yesterday (14 January 2011)

with the clean setup with above config, still we're experiencing the same, but it works in IE and Firefox.
any workaround to prevent this ?

regards,
sudesh

hello ivan,

you're absolutely correct.
we were using customized business-theme and this was causing the trouble as you explained earlier. i just created a new RAP Run config using classic-theme and it's working.

i'm sure this is then related to the bug https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=301236 you mentioned earlier.

how do we get around this, is there any workaround ?

thanks again,

regards,
sudesh

Hi Sudesh,
this is fixed in CVS HEAD and will be part of RAP 1.4M5 (will be
released on 11 of February). As a temporary workaround remove the
background-image (set to "none") or border-radius ( set to "0px" )
property of ToolItem CSS element. If the problem persist you have
somewhere else in your CSS definition a combination of background-image
with border-radius.
HTH,
Ivan
