Position: Solution Architect - "top level contributor" - JAVA, Eclipse, F-LEX (San Jose)
Location: San Jose, CA (very accessible via public transportation system)

The client is a growing global leader in providing security, backup and value-added services to end-users and aspires to be the most reliable security provider for end-users as well as the most profitable value-added service ISP and mobile operations partner. Develop and deliver project plans to high standard, meeting and exciting partners' expectations while using best practices.
Will be considered the "top level contributor" and an expert-level technical resource in data analysis, data modeling, logical and physical database deployment design, assume the role of liaison with project manager(s), team(s), and client communications.
Responsibilities:
Primary responsibility is full-lifecycle scalable solution design that maximizes system performance; improves integrity and company brand/reputation, and provides flexible reporting to leverage best practices. Position requires interaction with client (on site and via electronic communications/reporting.) Will draft, maintain and communicate technical architecture design documents to integrate the client's technology and platform with service provider/partner; evaluate existing infrastructure, and define specifications for necessary product customization. Solutions Architect acts as the product owner for customer delivery application layer; promotes the use of common platform; and provides future requirements for common platform elements for platform owners.
Position involves presenting technical aspects of offered solution to partners; consulting in feasibility negotiations; and will assist sales team in RFQ/Scope of Work/customer offer process.
Candidate should be experienced with a wide variety of Frameworks, Design Tools, IDEs, Configuration Management (CM) and software engineering build tools. Experience in a variety of methodologies (Agile/Scrum, SOA, RUP, TDD, etc.) is highly desired.
Languages: Java, SQL (ANSI, T-SQL, PL/SQL, plpgSQL), XML, UML, Perl, Python, PHP, Unix/Linux shell scripting
Databases: PostgreSQL, MySql.

Frameworks: NginX, Spring, Hibernate, Struts, Apache AXIS, pgBouncher,

Design tools & IDE: MS Visio, PowerDesigner, ER/Studio, TOAD, Erwin, EMS Studio, ModelRight, Netbeans, IntelliJ, Eclipse, JDeveloper
CM/Build tools: Nunin, Nagios, Ant, SVN, Hudson, Synergy, VSS, Maven, Perforce
Platforms/OS: Linux (Debian, CentOS, RH, SUSE, Ubuntu, Fedora), Unix (Solaris, HP-UX, AIX, SCO), WINDOWS XP, WINDOWS SERVER 2003-2008
