Hello,

The "Register EPackages" item does not appear when I right click on my .ecore file.
I use Helios SR1 (Modeling) on Windows 7.
Has one any idea about what the cause could be?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Best regards.

I'm not sure which project contributes that. If you have it working
somewhere, you could use PDE Spy to try to determine where it's coming
from and then make sure you install that bundle/feature in your IDE.

Same issue here (Indigo modeling, running on ubuntu).

To phrase the problem more generally: I want one of my ecore models to be registered with the EMF runtime so it appears at the Navigate->Open EPackage menu.

How can I do that? Smile

I don't think EMF ships with this ability but maybe you're looking for the M2M/QVT Declarative Model Registry I quickly
googled on https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=289759 .

There's another discussion on the general topic on https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=220218

Cheers
