Hi I have installed egit on helios version of PDT.

It worked fine on my other laptop however when I went to try it on my other machine it didnt seem to work correctly.

I installed the egit package but none of the features are available such as importing from the Import wizard etc.

The software states it is installed but I am not really sure what else I can do.

ANy ideas on how to debug what is happening? It works fine on my other laptop which is really stange.

Any ideas would be great.

Thanks

Just a further note I can't even see the GIT view in the perspective.

Anyone got any ideas where I can start trying to debug this?

Would love to be able to commit to my git repo from within Eclipse.

Please any help would be greatly received.

Thanks

Matthew

I have the same issue, and would also dearly love to figure out why I can't see any of the git components.

I've tried, independently, 9.1, 9.3, and 11.1 from the dailies. None worked.

running Eclipse Helios (Build id: 20100617-1415) on a 32-bit Windows 7 machine

Eclipse Helios has problems installing plugins under windows 7 / vista due to the way windows "virtualizes" the programs directory.

If you cannot install ANY plugins (not just egit), try:

Try moving eclipse into your homedirectory instead of /programs

try giving yourself permissions

search for related issues (not able to install plugin) in google.
