Is there a good reason why query inheritance isn't supported in Acceleo? I believe I need it.

Thanks!
Jeff

Hi,

Yes there is one: The model to text transformation language specification (MOFM2T) from the OMG that Acceleo is implementing. Query inheritance is not supported by the specification.

you can find the specification here if you want: http://www.omg.org/spec/MOFM2T/

That does not mean that we will never ever have query inheritance (we have some features that are not in the specification) but it just is very unlikely.

Thanks Stephane. It only recently sunk in that the OMG defined MTL and OCL and that there appears to be some work to do to enhance these languages to be more usable.

Thanks!
Jeff
