I am using eclipse helios.Installed the latest ECF plugin.

I could start the server using eclipse.exe -console -application org.eclipse.ecf.server.generic.Server.

I am following the instructions in http://wiki.eclipse.org/ECF_Servers page.

I tried to start to server with a different port ( I used the one in the page eclipse.exe -console -application org.eclipse.ecf.provider.AppGenericServer 3285 mygroup ecf.eclipse.org 20000 )

Is there another way to start the server with a different port and group , with eclipse.exe -application command ?

Hi Aykut,

I assume you use an ECF version newer than 2.0. Thus the application cmd
line parameter is named "org.eclipse.ecf.server.generic.Server" instead
of "org.eclipse.ecf.provider.AppGenericServer".

Hi Aykut,

I assume you want to change the ECF generic provider port from 3282 to
something different. This can be done by setting the system property
"org.eclipse.ecf.provider.generic.port" to the new value.

Here I found the parameters from your comment to a bug.

-Dorg.eclipse.ecf.provider.generic.name="/mygroup"

Be careful to start the group name with '/'.

I mentioned org.eclipse.ecf.provider.generic.name ("/server") name attribute as group.

I found the parameter. See my previous comment.
