Hi,
quite impressed by the work done here, I wanted to try Virgo with snaps. I had to do some research in order to get it running and have written down the results here:

Hope you agree with it.

Cheers, Joerg

Great write up.

Just one thing I would recommend you do:

Make sure that snaps plan is started very early in the server lifecycle.

That can be achieved by modifying $VIRGO_HOME/config/org.eclipse.virgo.kernel.userregion.prope rties
initialArtifacts=repository:plan/org.eclipse.virgo.kernel.userregion.springdm, repository:plan/org.eclipse.virgo.web, repository:plan/org.eclipse.virgo.snaps

Snaps plugin into deployer pipeline and react to deploy artifacts lifecycle. If Snaps are not started early there is a chance that some deployment units will be missed by the deployer. Example a snap war can be deployed as a Web App not as a Snap.

Regards,
Dmitry
