RAP deployed in embedded tomcat - work folder sige increases huge [message #643532]

Hi Everybody,
When RAP application is deployed to Embedded tomcat the work folder size increases a lot like 200 MB, 300MB etc. The more the application is accessed it increases the size of the work folder.

Right now the workaround or handling this is only by restarting the tomcat and have a script to delete the work folder.

Anybody has a solution please let me know?

Hi Ravi,
did you inspect which files/folders are created with every access that
cause this issue?

Hi Ivan,
I observed that the eclipse/configuration/osgi/bundles is the directory which grows. It has libraries of the project placed under 1,2,3,4,5 folders separately. This folder number 1 or 2 or 3 represents the session.

So if there are 20 sessions then there will be 20th folder created and have all libraries available in that folder under .cp/lib folder.

Looks like this is the reason for the work folder size increase.

Hi Ravi,
I didn't test it with Embedded tomcat, but on the external tomcat
(Windows) I don't observe such problems.
