Hi,

I am planning to use Eclipse RCP for developing a new desktop application, that we plan to deploy using java web start. I am using eclipse-rcp-helios-SR1-linux-gtk-x86_64.tar.gz on an ubuntu 64 bit machine.

I am trying to export the wrapper feature as mentioned in many online tutorials and even the help documentation (Platform Plug-in Developer Guide > Programmer's Guide > Packaging and delivering Eclipse based products > Deploying eclipse based application with Java Web Start) as follows:

File -> Export -> Plug-in Development -> Deployable features -> My feature

with following settings:
a) Export to my directory
b) Package as individual JAR archives (required for JNLP and update sites)
c) Sign the JAR archives using a keystore
d) Create JNLP manifests for the JAR archives
e) JRE version: 1.6

The export completes successfully, however there is no JNLP file generated in the "features" sub-directory.

Any help in this regard is highly appreciated!

Bug 276081 - On 3.5 M7 doing Export -> Deployable features -> Create JNLP manifests doesn't produce any JNLP at all

Thanks Olaf. However it's not very clear from the link as to what is the solution to the problem. Can you give some more pointers please?

Do not select "Generate metadata repository" on the options tab.
