Hi,
I wanted to test my project with the 0.7.X version of Papyrus, so I downloaded it from branch of svn and imported in my workspace all the plugins found in plugins folder.

The only error it gives is org.eclipse.papyrus.def.

Then I launch the eclipse application and when I open a Papyrus project with Papyrus editor an error appears in the diagram window and an exception is thrown:

!MESSAGE Unable to create editor ID org.eclipse.papyrus.core.papyrusEditor: The editor class could not be instantiated. This usually indicates a missing no-arg constructor or that the editor's class name was mistyped in plugin.xml.

Hi,

for the errors in the org.eclipse.papyrus.def plugin, this is "normal" as the xpand editor developed for GMF is not fully working. It displays errors everywhere, even when the code is right. You should not be impacted by these errors.

For the error itself, it's surprising, as the org.eclipse.papyrus.core plugin depends on the sasheditor plugin, it should be found without problems.
Sometimes, my eclipse fails to clean and rebuild everything until I close it and reopen.
When you launch your application, do you validate the set of plugins or restrict the set of available plugins?
Could you also try to set your java compiler settings to 1.5 (downgrade from java 1.6 to 1.5). This sometimes helps the compilation for me.

regards,
RĂ©mi

Today I updated my version of papyros 0.7.X from the svn, I reimported all the plugins and now papyrus editor works fine.
Maybe a problem in the older version (Remi I tried what you suggested but had no luck).
