Hi,

I have tried to find the right forum for this question, please advise if
the platform forum is not the right place.

I would like to use "Team->Create Patch" on a plugin which I imported
from the target platform plugins. (The "plugins" view).
This plugin was not "checked-out" from a team repository like CVS or SVN
so this option is not available.

Is there a usage pattern, I should know about to achieve this?

thank you,
Christophe Bouhier

The project needs to be from the repository in order to create a patch.
Select Team > Share Project... and connect your project to the
repository. After that you can create the patch.

And as of 3.6 when you use File>Import...>Plug-ins and Fragments you can
check the "Import from Repository" option. That will check out the
exact tagged version used in the build.
