I have an RCP Application in which I am using DTP to connect to various db's. Our application needs a UI interface in the form of table where user can directly type in data or edit schema.

Is any such UI already available? If not can we request for such an enhancement in DTP framework ? What is the right place to put this request ?

I'm not sure what you mean by edit schema. Could you explain?

For a table where users can directly type in data, have you tried the
Table Data editor? (Right-click on a table in the Data Source Explorer
view, select Data -> Edit.)

Hi Brian,

Thank you for the reply.

I can edit the data in the Data Source Explorer.

However, I am looking for UI where I can edit the schema (no of columns and datatypes for columns) ?We can do this using SQL Script, but we want to do it using UI.

Also I was trying to implement a drag and drop functionality where i can drop some data onto the DataExplorer view. For some reason I cannot drop anything on this View. Any suggestions for that ?

Swati
