Hi all,

I was just trying to install Epsilon for first time via the Update Manager of Eclipse 3.6M7 and I have the following error:

Cannot complete the install because one or more required items could not be found.
Software currently installed: Epsilon EMF/GMF Live Validation (Incubation) 0.8.9.201004151115 (org.eclipse.epsilon.evl.emf.validation.feature.feature.grou p 0.8.9.201004151115)
Missing requirement: Epsilon EMF Model Support (Incubation) 0.8.9.201004151115 (org.eclipse.epsilon.emc.emf 0.8.9.201004151115) requires 'bundle org.eclipse.emf.mapping.xsd2ecore 0.0.0' but it could not be found
Cannot satisfy dependency:
From: Epsilon EMF/GMF Live Validation (Incubation) 0.8.9.201004151115 (org.eclipse.epsilon.evl.emf.validation.feature.feature.grou p 0.8.9.201004151115)
To: org.eclipse.epsilon.emc.emf 0.0.0

So, what shall I do? I really would like to use the live validation features...

After "full" Eclipse update... no notification for errors while installing! So, I assumed it is OK now... But, nothing was installed! After trying again via the Update Manager, the same error message received.

The same exception when installing from binaries from local site...

Not fun... I really would like to try the validation!
Any suggestions?!

Hi Hristina,

From your previous post I understood that you managed to install
Epsilon successfully. Isn't this the case?

Hi Dimitris,

No, I did not succeed!

I tried to install Epsilon in two different ways (via Update site and via binaries) and non of these worked. In both cases I had the same exception --> see in the first post.

So, do I have any other options?

Sorry for the delay...

I did try the interim site as well - also do not work in my case (same exception)!

And now what? :)

Hi Hristina,

I've just downloaded a fresh copy of the latest Eclipse Modeling
distribution (for Windows) from here

http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/

and installed Epsilon from the stable update site

http://download.eclipse.org/modeling/gmt/epsilon/updates/

without any problems. Could you please try with the latest Eclipse
Modeling distribution in case the problem you're encountering comes from
a glitch in the M7 version you're currently using?
