This is an outstanding opportunity for a highly qualified engineer to help design and develop an Eclipse-based IDE (Integrated Development Environment) that is used to build interactive television applications. The candidate should be a flexible, independent worker as well as an excellent coder and be able to work optimally under schedule deadlines.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Own large functional areas of the IDE and deliver high quality software on schedule
• Mentor team members, providing code level feedback as needed
• Contribute in all phases of an iterative software development process, including: scoping, detailed design, task estimation, development, testing, debugging, maintenance and support.
• Interface with internal groups, customers and partners strong hands on experience is a must
• Work with product and project managers to understand desired features, and provide input on implementation tradeoffs
• Document designs as needed for internal design reviews and coding
KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIRED:
• BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience required.
• 6+ years of software development experience.
• 3+ years Java development experience.
• Experience with Interactive Television software is a plus.
• Demonstrated expertise in software design.
• Experience with Integrated Development Environment design and development is a plus (Eclipse plug-in development experience is a big plus).
• Experience in delivering commercial software.
• Ability to deliver high quality results under time pressure.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
