I am a user I believe as a J2ee developer. I do not do Eclipse development. I saw the powerpoints that you mentioned.
I would like to know how the server related functions work, etc.
For example, if I have a JBoss server configured in Eclipse, we get server preferences, class path setting, publish, etc..

To know this, if I have to look into code, can you give me some pointers? I never looked or searched Eclipse code. Should I download eclipse code and see? If so, which packages to see?
Or do we have any document on this?

Each server adapter has its own way of publishing a J2EE project. The core Server tools framework provides a general mechanism but adopters do not have to use it.

For the most part you would want to check the help. If you have a specific question post it and maybe someone in the newsgroups can provide details.
