I'm using the Blackberry JDE plugin with Eclipse 3.5. One of the simulators had a problem so I removed it using the "Help -> Install New Software" menu. However, now it will not reinstall. Eclipse is "acting" like it is expecting the presence of a file or directory when it doesn't appear that anything has been done.

The install process reports:
-----
An error occurred during the org.eclipse.equinox.internal.provisional.p2.engine.phases.Ch eckTrust phase.
session context was:(profile=SDKProfile, phase=org.eclipse.equinox.internal.provisional.p2.engine.pha ses.CheckTrust, operand=, action=).
Error reading signed content.
The file " C:\Users\rick\Programs\Eclipse\plugins\net.rim.ejde_1.1.2.20 1004161203-16.jar " does not exist
-----

Sometimes eclipse downloads the install from the site, other time it just skips right to the install process and produces the error above. It looks like the plugin state is corrupt, but I don't know where that state is stored to clear it manually.

Any pointers would be appreciated. Thanks.

My suggestion would be to get another copy of Eclipse and start over
installing the BlackBerry plug-in set which is very (and apparently
totally) intrusive. As I don't attempt to do anything else but
BlackBerry with my BlackBerry Eclipse, this solution works for me. I
keep my Android and JEE Eclipse work separate too, so I usually have 3
or 4 ('cause I also like to do a few things with a separate Helios
install too which in theory won't work for Android) around on each
development host I use.

Hope this comment is somewhat helpful.

Russell,

I thought about doing that, as a last resort, so I wouldn't have to reinstall everything (Android, Collabnet SVN) in the event of a problem since this has happened before.

I would like to understand the problem, though, if anyone can point me to where the configuration information is stored.

Thanks.
