Hi all,

Does MoDisco provide a Reader that can be used in MWE workflows and that returns an EMF model? I was reading the source of JavaReader in the ...java.discoverer package but since it does extend org.eclipse.emf.mwe.utils.Reader it seems that it cannot be used in MWE workflows.

Is there anybody who used already MoDisco java models in MWE workflows and used XPand and XTend for txt generation and model transformation on them?

Best,
Helge

Hi Helge,

that is true that MoDisco does not provide yet some
AbstractEMFWorkflowComponent suclasses for its discoverers.

As explained on MoDisco Java wiki page
( http://wiki.eclipse.org/MoDisco/Components/Java/Composition/ Documentation/0.9)
the discoverer responds to
org.eclipse.gmt.modisco.infra.discoverymanager.Discoverer interface and
some invocation example can be found in
org.eclipse.gmt.modisco.java.composition.discoverer.tests project.

As an alternative, the MoDisco workflow provides a mechanism to
initialize and launch a workflow of discoverers, generators and model
transformations. You may have a look at its documentation
"http://wiki.eclipse.org/MoDisco/Components/Workflow"

Fabien.

Hello,
it could be an evolution of discovery manager to provide such entry point to MWE.

Helge, could you fill a bug with a little summary of your needs ?
So we will be able to evaluate the load and to trace it in our project plan.

Regards
Gabriel
