Hi Mohamed,

what do you mean by "Action box" ?

If you are talking about an Action Execution Specification, it is
available through the palette and is drawn on a lifeline.

Thibault

Hi Thibault,

thanks for your support.

Yes, I am looking for an action exec.. but, when I use it, I couldn't set my actions, expressions, inside the box!

Do you know how to set my expressions/actions within the Action Execution Specification?

Is there a good book/document that help me modelling UML using Papyrus?

Regards,

Mohamed

Those elements are not visible on the diagrams. You can see/edit them in
the property view.

There is a tutorial on modeling with MDT Papyrus and on the sequence
diagram on the website of MDT Papyrus.

Hi,

What I need is to show the execution of some internal operations within the object's lifeline?

I have extracted the following figure, for illustration, from the OMG UML 2.3 Superstructure Specification p. 492 fig 14.13:

http://users.encs.concordia.ca/~mm_abdal/sd.png

in this figure you can see the action DoSth which can be replaces with a functional call or expression.

yours,

Mohamed

Hi,

this functionnality is not yet available in the sequence diagram.

You can raise a bug on our bugzilla to ask for this new feature.

In the meantime, you may use a comment to store this information as a
workaround

Regards,

Thibault
