Hi all,
I've got my rcp application with several perspectives that can be chosen thru a perspective switcher at the top of the application itself using a toolbar. I'd like to change it using collapsiblebuttons placing the button panel on the bottom-left side, like in Outlook. I know how to place the buttons into a viewpart, but since I need them to switch over perspectives, I need to make them a kind of "fast view perspective independent" and always present in the application. Is there a way to achieve this?

You can contribute your own ControlContribution to the trim areas using
the constants defined in MenuUtil and org.eclipse.ui.menus/menuContribution
