If the repository is external Virgo works perfectly, but if we put:
usr.type=watched
usr.searchPattern=repository/usr/**
usr.watchDirectory=repository/usr/

We see no bundles in Virgo...is this correct?

As the user guide says, the searchPattern is for use with external and not with watched repositories.

So...can anyone tell me if it is possible to use subdirectories in watched repositories?

Watched directories are "flat" and monitored, external directories may have subdirectories and are not monitored.
