Hi,
I installed the standard Eclipse version and then I installed the SOA
Tools plugin and the stp-all-in-one-incubation plugin. I generated a BPMN
diagram using SOA Tools. I want to generate the corrispondent BPEL xml
sorce file but even if I looked in many threads in this group and also
surfed the net for hours looking for an answer, I still don't know how to
do it. I'm a student on thesis about BPEL and BPMN and I really hope you
can help me.

Cheers

Stella

Hi Stella, there is no such capability as of today on the STP project,
altough the STP IM and JWT are working towards that goal.
Intalio|Designer, based on the STP BPMN modeler, is offering such
capabilities. It is available for free at
http://www.intalio.com/products/download/

Thanks,

Antoine

Hi Stella,
As Antoine says, we don't have that capability in STP just
yet. There was an article written for DeveloperWorks that showed
how you could do this using STP and a set of other open-source
resources, but I don't have the link to it, I'm afraid :(

You could take a look at the Spagic open-source tools at [0],
they may have something that could help.

best regards
Oisin

Hi,

I am phd student and I work on BPMN-to-BPEL transformation (more
precisely on data managment in BPEL).

BPMN is unstructured whereas BPEL can be structured. The technical
report available here: http://www.bpm.fit.qut.edu.au/projects/babel/tools/
describes an algorithm to structure the BPMN. But, in the available
software, BPMN model and generated BPEL are not conform to the norms.

I am developing eclipse plugins which implement the algorithm and use
STP models. But unfortunately, it is a very beta version but it may can
help you:

Recent BPMN tools such as Camunda Modeller can produce an xml based script from bpmn or bpel. Hence, as far as I understand, there is no need for doing any further transformation between the two.

Thanks
