I have a great idea for an eclipse plug-in I want to write but I don't know where to get started. I looked on amazon for a couple of books but I'm concerned that most are out of date (the most popular was from 2008) or unnecessary. I also saw some tutorials online like this url: http://help.eclipse.org/helios/index.jsp

What is the best way to get started writing some eclipse plugins?

Start with the CheatSheets

Help -> CheatSheets -> Plug-in Development -> Creating an Eclipse plug-in
