Problems with PDE b uild on OSX (64-bit) [message #605675]

The export never completes because I get a java.lang.OutofMemoryError:
Java Heap Space error. The Heap space is set to 1024M (e.g. 1G)... The
progress reports "26%" and never gets beyond that.

The export is also extremely slow (this is running on a MacBook Pro with
4Gb Ram and a 2.8GHz Core 2 Duo - not normally a slow machine). It takes
>30 mins before hitting the above error.

By comparison, when I build the same product on Windows, it completes in
about 5 minutes and uses a MAX heap space of 177M.

Any ideas on what is going on here? Any hints on how to get this
building on OSX?
