I would like to generate some sample XML files for testing based on an XSD. So I used the "Generate, XML File..." command and it did create a file. Unfortunately, many of the attributes in the generated file are set to "token" which doesn't pass schema validation. The XSD defines a limited set of allowable values for those attributes.

Is there any way to make it generate correct attribute values?

Unfortunately I can't post the XSD files here to reproduce the problem because they are copyright by HL7. If anyone happens to be an HL7 member you can download the CDA.xsd file from the http://www.hl7.org/implement/standards/cda.cfm page in the "CDA Release 2" package.

Nick,

The XSD project doesn't provide that action. Maybe the web tools
project does. I've added it to the "to" list of the reply.
