AGR Not able to playback on tables [message #60897] Tue, 28 March 2006 10:07 Go to next message

Greetings,

I am evaluating AGR to automate testing on our plug-in. I have noticed that
AGR is not able to playback the actions (editing the content in the rows) in
the tables.
When recording the scenario it is able to identify the table and roweditor
as text field. but it is failing to playback ( Cannot locate the editor
control: org.eclipse.swt.widgets.Text#1)..

Please find the macro as a attachment, which was generated for the following
scenario: opening a tptp.datapool, editing a filed at row: 5.

Can any one provide me workaround solution for this. ( Apart from position
based recording)

Thanks for any insight.
Jai

I have opened defect https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=133586 to
attempt to address this problem. A workaround really depends on your
application. If your plug-in provides another mean of editing the row (e.g.
via an edit button), then try and use that instead.

The defect has been targeted for 4.2i3 and should be resolved within a few
weeks.
