Dear All,

I must be missing something.....

Does the eclipse stp bpmn plugin allow one to generate BPEL form a BPMN
diagram?

The BPMN editor is a pure garphical editor with no generation capabilities.
My company, Intalio, is layering the BPMN editor to create BPEL
processes and WSDL services.

The product is available at http://bpms.intalio.com for free.

Hope this helps,

Antoine

Is ti a plugin for my existing eclipse instance (3.3. europa) or is it
an entire pre-packaged eclipse?

I ask as I'm looking to put together a complete "production line" of
plugins for a std base eclipse instance (at the moment 3.3 europa).

For now it's an Eclipse distro, bundled with GMF, GEF, EMF, STP BPMN,
OCL, EMFT, Query, WST.

For more information, please address our forum directly.

Thanks,

Antoine

Antoine,

Are there not plans to contribute support for generation of BPEL to open
source? The BPMN subproject description at http://www.eclipse.org/stp/ seems
to suggest that:

" The BPMN subproject will provide an editor and a set of tools to model
business processes diagrams using the BPMN notation and allow validation and
generation of BPEL artifacts from those diagrams."

Hi Kenn,

I am not aware of plans regarding this feature.

In the past we have been asked to open source this part of the product,
but it has proven too strategical to be opened yet.

The SCOrware project and Obeo were planning to work in this area at some
point, using a MDA approach.

I will correct this page. Thanks for pointing to it.

Thanks,

Antoine
