shortcut tool bar missing [message #597673]

on linux fedora core2 and using sun's j2sdk1.4.2_04. the shortcut
bar on the left side of the screen is hidden by the navigator
panel. if i look closely i can see (about 2 pixels wide) the
very left edge of the shortcut bar. there is a tiny spot where
mouse over appears for "resource perspective" and "cvs perspective."
any ideas about how i can fix this layout issue? norb
