There's a rudimentary IRC provider available here: http://ecf1.osuosl.org

It still needs testing and more UI (especially for connect dialog), but
it does work.

Hummm, I tried to ask whether there's an IRC channel (not a
plugin/provider), where ECF developers are hanging out and
where people could ask some questions.

Many open source projects are having an IRC channel at irc.freenode.net
for example...

Try #eclipse on freenode :)

Cheers,

Hi Daniel and Chris,

Ah...sorry...IRC channel...well, I suppose we should set one up for ECF
at irc.freenode.net, but until then it's the #eclipse IRC channel.

But you can use the ECF client if you want to. I've noticed that there
sometimes seems to be a long delay between connection and completing the
logon. Freenode seems to be taking a long time to do the
authentication or something.

Scott

How about we setup #ecf-dev?

I'll idle in the channel as soon as I'm back from travel.

Cheers,

~ Chris
