Hi,
Although this is kind of a JDBC question, I'll try this channel as well...

Couldn't find a way to create a new MySql database connection that was
setup using unix socket (rather than an IP/port connection).

I am not sure if JDBC supports this kind of connection. Do you know how to
configure it in Eclipse DTP?
