Hi,

Is anybody working on a whiteboard implementation? We also need a audio
conferencing solution, but from the previous post I understand that this is
still open....

Kind regards,

Jaap Reitsma

Hi Jaap,

A person did contact me to let me know that they are working on a whiteboard implementation, but it has been several weeks since I have heard from this person.

Do others (in addition to Jaap) particularly want a whiteboard implementation? If so please lets put together a team to create one and get it out. It's unlikely that we (ECF committer) team will be able to take this on ourselves immediately, but working with a small set of community developers (perhaps like yourself?) we could probably put together a minimally functional whiteboard component very quickly (particularly if we use the example paint code from the eclipse examples...or some other drawing/paint code implemented in SWT or RCP).

Do you already have a particulary drawing / paint application in mind?
What do you think would be a good starting point?

Thanks,

I would suggest starting with the Eclipse example 'paint' app. It's in plugin org.eclipse.swt.examples.paint_3.1.0 which comes with the "Example Plugins" area on this page:

http://download.eclipse.org/eclipse/downloads/drops/S-3.2M4- 200512151506/

(this is for 3.2m4...but the Example Plugins section is on every drop).
