Hi, I would like to contribute to ECF framework as a developer. If you are
in need of a Eclipse developer, then please reply.
My skills which can be of use to ECF:
1. Long back, I was looking for a light-weight messaging framework as part
of my job. Came across KOI-project that time, but that didn't work out.
Finally ended up in writing a JMS implementation of my own. So that way, I
have a chunk of nice experience with network programming.
2. I consider myself an expert at Eclipse UI (JFace/SWT).
3. I am fully familiar with Eclipse JDT API, have developed a Java Aspect
weaver using JavaCC on the same lines as Xerox's AspectJ
4. I have developed generic diagramming framework based on UML's Diagram
Interchange Metamodel on top of Eclipse-GEF to be able to render all the
UML diagrams. (Haven't used EMF though, but I have developed ER-Model
generator which seems to generate almost in the same fashion as EMF.)
5. I have implemented an in-memory implementation of OMG's Meta Object
Facility (MOF). All of my experience had been in development of
Model-Driven Development Toolset for Enterprise Application Development.
6. Wrote a JDBC persistence layer generator.
6. Overall I have 3 years of experience in C++, MFC, VS.NET and 1 1/2
years experience in Java, Eclipse
If you feel my skills to be of any help for ECF, please get back.
I will be immediately productive anything involving Eclipse GEF, JFace,
SWT, JDT. Currently I work as a programmer and team-lead at a large
company in India.
Thanks,
Venkataramana M (People call me venkat)

Hi Venkat,
Thanks for your note. Yes we are very interested in your skills and
willingness to contribute (thanksinadvance for that!).
I've sent you an email directly so you and I can coordinate on mechanics
and timing.
Again thanks...and I look forward to working with you.
