I'd like to point out to the efficiency of screen estate usage for
http://www.eclipse.org/phoenix/index.html page.

It seems that there is lot of unused space in the top and left
frames. So, I think that it would make more sense to integrate the
left-side navigator into empty space of the top frame.

Also, entire page look somehow disballanced. It will make sense to
either use blue but not gray colors for borders and backgrounds in the
main frame (that should make them look more separated from each other)
or change color for the navigation bars to white/gray palette.

regards,
Eugene

Hey Eugene,
Thanks for you feeback. The plan is to move away from frames all together
and maximise real estate. There has been some discussion around best
practices for achiving this. Please see the thread called "Identfied
Benchmark Sites - discussion" We have not yet discussed a palette The
intention of this particular treatment was not to change the overall look
and feel of the site, however a highlighted objectives of the project is to
"Reflect the professional character of the Eclipse development platform and
its community." Where we will be looking to separate ourselves from run of
the mill sites in both design and function.
