Hi,

We have created an IDE based on eclipse framework. It works fine when used locally. However when I open files from a remote location, the syntax errors in those files do not appear in the problems view. How do I link the remote editor page with the problems view?

Please shed some light on this.

Regards,
Sheela

Hi Sheela,

I'll assume that, when you're opening files from a remote location, you're
using RSE as opposed to using EFS. Note that remote files in RSE are
different from local files in an Eclipse project since, unlike files in a
typed project, there is no implied tooling associated with an arbitrary
remote file. That said, when you open a file via RSE, you're downloading it
into a temporary project, RemoteSystemsTempFiles. I'm not sure which tools
you're using to generate markers in the problems view, but I suspect that
the tools are only associated with resources in typed projects.
