Hi,

since Galileo at least under Windows many (if not all) selection dialogs
do not present any choices before you type in the first character in the
search text field.

Is this the same in e4? If yes can you get back the pre-Ganymede behavior?

For example if you add Dependencies to a plug-in project using the
Manifest editor after clicking the Add button you are presented with an
empty list of plug-ins. As soon as you type in the first character of
the plug-ins's id e.g. 'o' the list is built up with all the plug-ins
whose names start with 'o'.

Is this a kind of performance optimization? Is it a feature or a bug?
Its in Galileo as well as in Helios so I do not believe it is a bug. I
do not like this behaviour and would like to switch it back to the old
fashion.

Does somebody know how to achieve that?

Thanks,
Dirk
