What's the relationship between SAFARI and IMP? [message #565612]

Hello,

it's quite apparent to me that the proposed Eclipse IMP project is
related to the SAFARI tooling platform for language-specific IDE's,
which was a big success when being demonstrated at EclipseCon 2007:

At least, it's the same people behind the IMP propsal and behind SAFARI.
So, what's the relationship between SAFARI and IMP? And why isn't SAFARI
mentioned in the Project Proposal?
