db4o database in the Data Tools Platfom [message #56586]

Hi.

I'm curious whether an object database like db4o
(http://developer.db4o.com) could be integrated in the Data Tools
Platform. They are already supporting Eclipse with:

a) an Eclipse plugin to browse stored objects (you can check it out in the
Java/Eclipse getting started video ->

b) a second Eclipse plugin to instrument objects to work with db4o
transparently
( http://developer.db4o.com/blogs/product_news/archive/2009/05 /18/automagically-enable-db4o-transparent-persistence-for-ja va-via-eclipse.aspx)

Could this be a start to integrate db4o into DTP or DTP is only targeted
at relational datastores? How about db4o as part of EclipseLink?

know anything about db4o, but if it has a JDBC driver, we can most likely
connect to it or DTP can be adapted to work with it.
