how to associate RenameProcessor and RenameParticipant [message #558784]

I have to rename a Java package programatically. I am trying to use ltk APIs and provide this feature in my product. My query is how to relate RenameProcessor and RenameParticipant? what do they actually mean and how are they invoked in lifecycle?

Can somebody explain this in simple terms or point me to some helpful documents or provide some examples.
