Hi,

Are there any tentative timelines for moving SWTBot from incubation to a mature phase?

Best Regards,
Ashitha.

Hi Ketan,

In our central test runs, we install SWTBot plugins on the base Eclipse installation to run our SWTBot tests.

Are there any plans to make SWTBot a part of some base Eclipse installation?
I assume that till it comes out of incubation , this would not be possible.

Best Regards,
Ashitha.

Hi,

I don't know whether there are plans to make SWTBot part of the release train, but being in incubation is not a blocking point to join the train and be part of the main update-site.
However, being integrated directly in an Eclipse distribution is a bit more complicated I think. This is something to discuss with guys who maintain the EPP packages. I agree that shipping SWTBot with the RCP/Plug-in developers distribution would make a lot of sense.

Regards,
