Hi,

Following a succesful early preview of UOMo at Helios DemoCaps and related
events, we plan to participate in some DemoCamps again this fall.
Please see the list of cities so far:
http://wiki.eclipse.org/Eclipse_DemoCamps_November_2010

Place a comment here, if you wish to see UOMo at a place near you.

With committers, contributors and friends of UOMo across the world from
Hawaii, Canada to countries all across Europe and Asia, we should get as
close to you as possible.
Given a time conflict by having that in the same month and its rather
limited space/size compared to EclipseCon or similar events, it is unlikely,
we'll be at ESE this year (despite the T-Shirt ;-)

Since DemoCamps are already planned in cities as close as Bonn or Dortmund,
with others e.g. Karlsruhe or Stuttgart likely to follow, there's no worry
for people in those areas, they couldn't see UOMo again on a DemoCamp. Plus
Stuttgart had the pleasure earlier this year, at Eclipse Embedded Day !;-)

So far 3 venues have been scheduled for an UOMo talk:
- Hamburg
- Kassel ( November 26)
- Vienna

Also in discussion is a meeting of the Elexis community late Nov (27 or 28)
which is likely in Switzerland. Whether or not this may become a DemoCamp,
let's see.
Due to its healthcare relevance via UCUM I may present this aspect there in
any case if time permits.

Stay tuned,
Werner

While the exact venue needs to be confirmed, this is probably one of the best real life use cases for UOMo and how its technologies UnitConverter may translate a press statement like this:

>Tech Mahindra has set up a new 1.2 Lakh sq. ft development center at Mahindra World City in Paranur, Chennai with an investment of Rs 30 crore.

into the equivalent of USCustomary unit acre or Hectare (ha) for readers and potential investors from other mainly EU countries.

Mahindra World City in Paranur, Chennai is the most likely location for a Nov/Dec Eclipse DemoCamp Chennai this fall.

I had to cancel Hamburg for scheduling reasons.

Currently these options are possible:
- Bangalore
- Kassel (tbc)
- Vienna (tbc)
- Chennai (tbd)

While not officially an Eclipse DemoCamp, the UOMo and Java SE7/8 (where
JSR-308 also has aspects of Unit Type Checking) presentation are scheduled
for the second Chennai JUG meeting:

Those in Chennai or nearby are very welcome.
