I am buidling a composite application using RCP and I have some native desktop apps developed in VB and .Net. which I want to embed into RCP. Can you wrap and run it within RCP? As a plug-in, How?

I read the features list of IBM Lotus Expeditor, which is based on RCP, can build composite apps in VB, C++, .Net. Anyone know how they do it?

Thanks.

Maybe what you are looking for is integrating OLE components into SWT
applications on Windows. For example, open an Excel sheet in the Eclipse
IDE on Windows with the default editor. This should bring up Excel
wrapped in an Eclipse editor.

There is also an (old) article about ActiveX Support in SWT here:

Hi Martin, thanks for the information.

Are you saying I can embed a standalone VB or .Net app as OLE document or OLE object in a SWT widget the same way you embed word or excel?

Thanks
John
