Hi

I'm new to birt. I have to make dynamic reports using Birt. My reports must be in XLS.

I worh with an Eclipse Birt distribution.

I tried some tutorials etc. and I had a problem with to general reports with, images, charts, several sheets.

It seems I need a more powerfull emiter than the one I have with my distribution.

The Tribix emiter is not considered for now

So I am here for that I would like to use the Actuate solution in trial in order to validate if it feets my needing.

I would like your suggestions on that.

Anthony

Yes I saw this post and reoriented my work on Actuate. It's the purpose
of my question. I didn't find an Actuate Eclipse distribution that allow
me to put images, charts etc. in an XLS report file whereas it would be.

My computer at work do not allow me (no admin rights) to install
actuate executable programs. I will try with my own computer but I am
looking for a plugin, or an eclipse, that could reach my needs even if a
payable license is necessary.

I managed to generate images&charts in XLS with Birt-Actuate designer V11 (trial version, testing before buying) but not with the V10.

I tought the Birt-Acutate report designer 10 was able to to generate images, charts etc. in XLS ? Someone has already tried ?

The A11 version has the improved xls emitter. A10 does not.
