Hi
I encounter a problem with project settings with Eclipse 3.5.2 and PHP Development Tools (PDT) SDK Feature 2.1.1.v20090707-1108-51584QACJCRCUeNRkNYbOJecWK9O :
I have old projects iso-8859-1 encoded. When I set the project's properties to that it works for the current session. But each time I close and re-open the project encoding is setted back to default encoding UTF-8.
Thanks a lot for your help.

I can't believe such a problem still exists one year later and have no answer.
Each time I open a project I have to reset again and again resource text encoding to iso-8859-1. Sometimes I forget and get bad transcoded characters in all files I edited.
I missed something or Eclipse developpers are great jokers.

Thanks a lot Toshiro for your reply. I see 2 files at your link:
org.eclipse.core.resources.source_3.6.1.R36x_v20110131-1630. jar 673.8 KB
org.eclipse.core.resources_3.6.1.R36x_v20110131-1630.jar 753.9 KB
Should I just replace theese files on my eclipse 3.5 install or do I need to upgrade to 3.6 ?

They are for 3.6.2 only.
Which version are you using?
3.5.2 have
org.eclipse.core.resources.source_3.5.2.R35x_v20091203-1235. jar
org.eclipse.core.resources_3.5.2.R35x_v20091203-1235.jar
Could you tell me real file names?

No need to mind it. org.eclipse.core.resources.source is a Java source code bundle. It is included in Eclipse SDK for developing eclipse plugins. Eclipse for PHP Developers(eclipse-php-helios) doesn't have it since it is unnecessary for pdt.

Yes! It works with 3.7M5 ! My old projects in iso-8859-1 stay well encoded after closing and re-opening them. (Properties still display utf-8 when the projects are closed but it's not a problem)
Thanks and re-thanks to Toshihiro
