Hello,

I'm trying to find a solution to add an input text field on a birt report :
- When the report is generated, the viewer is invited to fill a "textarea" with its comment.
- When he submits it, the text is stored somewhere (a database for example)

Optionnaly ;) If the textearea could provide some formatting features, it would be better (bold, colors).

Do you have an idea if it's possible with birt ?

Senior Member

You could probably do this with a text element, but it would only work
in the HTML format and you would need to write some code (Servlet/JSP)
to call to store the value.
