Hello,

I've downloaded the Eclipse Helios distribution for RCP and RAP developers
and I noticed that the JDT source code plug-ins (for example org.eclipse.jdt.core.source)
are not there. Those plug-ins were distributed as part of the RCP developers
distribution and were available in Eclipse 3.5.1. Is there any reason why
they were removed from Helios? I've searched eclipse.org and could not find
a clue why this happened or where to download the source plug-ins from.

Thanks!
Petar P

No idea what the "RCP developers distribution" is, but JDT is not part
of RCP. You can either get JDT via update manager or by downloading e.g.
the Eclipse SDK.

Hello Daniel,

By "RCP distribution" I mean the Eclipse distrubution which includes the
PDE plug-ins - downloaded from
here http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/ - see "Eclipse for RCP and RAP Developers"
- 191 MB. This used to include the JDT
source plug-ins (in 3.5) and now they are gone.

Thanks!

The compare packages page (http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/compare.php)
still says RCP package should include source.

If you are sure that the source is missing (I have not checked that)
then I think you should open a bug with Eclipse Foundation > Community,
as the information/download package on the website is incorrect.

Thanks Deepak,

I've logged bug 322513.
For anyone interested you can download the 3.6 JDT update site which contains
the source code feature from here:
http://download.eclipse.org/eclipse/downloads/drops/R-3.6-20 1006080911/download.php?dropFile=org.eclipse.jdt.source-3.6. zip

Thanks
