I've cleaned my eclipse install, purging workspace, .eclipse, and the install directory and reinstalling Helios build id 20100617-1415, but still have problems with installing GEF 3.6.0.
The installation completes successfully but other plugins depending on GEF do not work and from the Manage Configurations dialog, I have found the following problems with the GEF installation:
From org.eclipse.draw2d version 3.6.0.v2010519-2050-45-7w3121163602336
Plug-in "org.eclipse.draw2d" version "3.6.0.v20100525-1225" referenced by this feature is missing.
From org.eclipse.gef version 3.6.0.v2010519-2050-777B-81A2Bz-69793A8B83447
Plug-in "org.eclipse.gef" version "3.6.0.v20100525-1225" referenced by this feature is missing.
From org.eclipse.draw2d.sdk version 3.6.0.v2010519-2050-7A7G-8yE4F-8G9O4F8L54AB88x42
No plug-in: "org.eclipse.draw2d.doc.isv" included at runtime.
From org.eclipse.gef.sdk version 3.6.0.v2010519-2050-7G7R-A5WNc7QL_fXBGjRZPUUiKPJ
No plug-in: "org.eclipse.gef.examples.ui.pde" included at runtime.
No plug-in: "org.eclipse.gef.doc.isv" included at runtime.
From org.eclipse.gef.examples version 3.6.0.v20100616-1515-7G7T-BgJ9E99cEc4EYEY
No plug-in: "org.eclipse.gef.examples.logic" included at runtime.
No plug-in: "org.eclipse.gef.examples.flow" included at runtime.
No plug-in: "org.eclipse.gef.examples.text" included at runtime.
No plug-in: "org.eclipse.gef.examples.shapes" included at runtime.
etc
However, for the "Plugin xxx version yyy referenced by this feature is missing." errors I see the plugins in the plugins directory in my install directory. The "No plug-in: xxx included at runtime" plugins are all located in a subdir of my .eclipse folder in my user dir.
