Hello,

How can I connect to a remote system that has an FTP server and a Telnet server, but no SSH server?
I tried using a "Telnet Only (Experimental)" connection, (with the drawback that I cannot use file transfers), but Eclipse still tries to use SSH!

Hm...

when you connect a "Telnet Only" connection, I cannot see how SSH would
be used... I'd recommend more investigations on your end to see what's
going wrong.

For Telnet + FTP, you could use a "UNIX" connection type and then choose
the Telnet Shells + FTP Files subsystems in the wizard. Make sure to
only connect relevant subsystems.

To make your user experience simpler (and allow connecting the
connection rather than individual subsystems), you can either install
FTP + Telnet only (ie uninstall dstore); or, you extend RSE by creating
your own system type that only supports telnet + FTP.

HTH,
Martin
