Hi,

I need a list of linux packages required to run a RCP application. I guess x11, glibc etc are required. Because of hardware/space constraint, installing kde, gnome is not possible.

Hi,

I think all you need is java and gtk (or any other window system supported by SWT). Everything else should be installed as transitive dependency.

When I try to rum my app, I get this error:

/lib/i686/libc.so .6 :version 'GLIBC_2.3' not found

Which Linux distribution are you using?

Its custom distro used by our company. very limited packages are available in it.

Ok because it seems that you are using an old version of the libc.

You can try not to use the native launcher. Have a look at:

http://wiki.eclipse.org/index.php/Equinox_Launcher#Startup.j ar

If gtk is not on the OS and cannot be added then you can try the linux-motif
release of eclipse/swt instead. It's marked as "testing only" but its
stability is comparable to the eclipse/swt linux-gtk release.
