Hi!

I have installed Eclipse Java EE IDE for Web Developers (Helios Release, Build id: 20100617-1415).

Then I have installed AJDT 2.1.0 dev builds for Eclipse 3.6 via Help > Install New Software (http://download.eclipse.org/tools/ajdt/36/dev/update).

But I cannot find the New Aspect wizard under File > New > Other > (AspectJ > Aspect is missing)

Also Run > Run > Aspect/Java application is missing.

Please, what do I miss to get AJDT installed correctly in Eclipse Helios?

Best regards, Elund

It seems like AJDT is not installed properly. To make sure, go to Help->About Eclipse...

Look in the features tab. Do you see the AJDT feature?

If you have already tried to install from the dev update site for 3.6, and the install appears to complete successfully, then the most common cause is that your install directory is read-only.

If this is not the case, then we should have a deeper look. Are there any relevant exceptions in your error log? If so, please paste them here.

Thank you very much for your answer Smile

Look likes AJDT is properly installed now.

A read-only directory probably caused my problems with installing AJDT.

Thank you very much for your answer :)

A read-only directory probably caused my problems with installing AJDT.

But I am still missing: Run > Run > Aspect/Java application.

Do you have more good ideas?
