The TPTP project uses several third party libraries/bundles, which are also
being used in other eclipse projects. The Orbit project will be very useful
in standardizing the naming and versioning of these common plugins, and I
would like to represent TPTP towards this effort.

Currently, TPTP uses the following third party plugins, which are candidates
for the Orbit project:
- Apache commons logging
- Apache log4j
- Apache Xerces
- Batik
- Batik PDF

The first three plugins now reside in the WTP CVS repository, and the last
two reside in the GMF CVS repository.

The GMF project is interested in participating and would definitely like to
see our Batik components launched into Orbit (sorry, couldn't resist ;-).

Great. As for the pun, well that was one of the attributes of choosing
"Orbit" as a name...

Sometime over the next couple weeks we will put together a list all the
libs, their contributors etc.
