Just a little question here of compatibility: I'm running windows7 64-bit but have Helios 32-bit running. I only ever need to develop 32-BIT applications.
The Eclipse Integration plugin at http://qt.nokia.com/developer/eclipse-integration/ specifies 32-BIT - - will this plugin work on my current setup?

When you install it, you end up with a folder in Program Files
(x86)\Nokia\Eclipse that contains a load of dlls that, although most
of them are in the Qt\2010.02.1\bin folder (or lib or something),
includes some that don't appear to be there, e.g. qtcppdesigner.dll,
qtcppproparser.dll and qtcppqrceditor.dll.
My guess is that Install New Software is perhaps mainly designed for
installing Java based plug-ins and adding native dlls isn't well
supported.
I might be totally wrong though, and I hope someone corrects me if
that is the case.

Qt is a natural for cross platform development, so is CMake and Autotools build environments. And I'm helping with CDT support for Android native development. These are things CDT should support out of the box to enable my plan for world domination  . And that's what motivates me to keep plugging away.

To be honest, I have no idea. That may be an issue, but I've never
tried it. I've never tried interfacing C code to C++ class libraries
in that direction; C++ using C libraries isn't difficult, but I've not
used it the other way.

As far as I remember, yes.
FWIW - It's definitely worth avoiding installing Qt anywhere other
than the default. Also, the Qt Eclipse Integration adds a "Start
Eclipse With MinGW" link on the menu. That's worth using although it
sets your path to the MinGW location plus a couple of other windows
folders only. I tend to edit the file that runs that (c:\Program Files
(x86)\Nokia\Eclipse\Start.bat) so that it just prepends the MinGW
folder to my existing path.
